Search ongoing for Scottish man wanted in connection with Northumberland alleged burglary

Police are searching for a man from Scotland wanted in connection with an alleged burglary in Northumberland.

Officers say are keen to find Martin Stewart, 38, who is wanted in connection with an alleged theft from address on Ashley Gardens, Stakeford.

A number of searches are being carried out in the local area but police are now appealing for information from the public.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "Efforts have been ongoing to locate him and a number of searches are being carried out in the local area.

"It is also believed Martin Stewart has access to a black, five-door Ford Focus vehicle.

"Now police are asking members of the community who might have seen him or who might know his whereabouts to come forward with information.

"Martin Stewart, or anyone who believes they have seen him, are asked to call 101 quoting reference 173 300120 or via the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
