The search is on to find those businesses and organisations having a hugely positive impact on society.
Of course employers support communities by creating wealth and employment opportunities, but there are many going well beyond this and not just adhering to statutory legislation like the minimum wage.
You don't have to be a big employer, but a small micro-business employing less than 10 to be considered.
And while far from an exhaustive list, you could be considered by demonstrating some of the following:
- Providing equity to employers.
- Giving a % of turnover to charities and good causes.
- Staff volunteering to support community projects.
- Environmental projects, including reducing carbon emissions.
- Encouraging diversity in the workplace.
- Focus on apprenticeships and staff development.
- Policy of procuring locally or within Wales.
