Search launched to trace girl, 15, missing from Motherwell home

A search has been launched to trace a 15-year-old missing from the Motherwell area.

Kayleigh Mills was last seen at around 8.15pm yesterday (October 12). Police Scotland are appealing for help from the public in tracing the teenager.

She is described as being 5ft 4 inches tall, of an average build with dark brown hair and blue eyes.

Residents in Coatbridge, Cumbernauld, Gelnmavis and Hamilton are also asked to remain alert for sights of the teenager as she frequents the areas.

A statement from police reads: "When last seen Kayleigh was wearing White jumper, Blue jeans and Black Nike Rucksack which may have a change of clothing within.

"Kayleigh is known to frequent, and has friends in the Coatbridge, Cumbernauld, Gelnmavis, Hamilton and Motherwell areas."

Anyone with information that could help officers in their search is asked to call police via 101 quoting incident number 2662 of 12th October 2020.

UPDATE: Police have confirmed Kayleigh has been found safe and well
