Search launched for missing Vietnamese teen in Edinburgh amid 'growing concerns'

Cops have launched a hunt for a missing Vietnamese teenager with 'limited English' who vanished in Edinburgh.

Vo Van Tu was last seen around 7.30am yesterday in the Calder Gardens area of the city.

Police say there are 'growing concerns' for the 17-year-old and have issued a description to try and trace him.

He is described as being Vietnamese, around 5ft 6, slim to medium build, with short dark hair.

He is believed to be wearing a red puffer jacket and dark trousers.

Cops have urged anyone with any information to come forward.

Inspector Caroline Flynn, from Drylaw Police Station, said: “We have growing concerns for Vo Van Tu’s wellbeing, partly due to his limited English and the length of time since he was last seen.

“If you believe you have seen him in Edinburgh, or may know his whereabouts, please contact police on 101, quoting incident 2896 of 21 April.”
