Search launched for 14-year-old Scots girl missing since Saturday

Police have launched a search for a missing Scots teenager last seen 48 hours ago in North Lanarkshire.

Helena McFadden was reported missing after she was last seen at 1pm on Saturday, April 29 in McGregor Road, Cumbernauld.

The 14-year-old is described as 5ft 3in, with long auburn hair and when last seen was wearing a white Nike baseball cap and black Nike tracksuit.

Police are now appealing to anyone who may have any information about Helena's whereabouts to come forward.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Anyone who may have seen Helena since this time, or who has any information which could be relevant, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 4231 of 29/04/2023."
