Search is on to find this year's Bristol Baby of the Year

The search is on for the bonniest babies and sweetest toddlers in Bristol.

The Bristol Post and Bristol Live's annual Baby of the Year competition launches today - and we're ready for another stampede of entries from hundreds of proud local parents of children aged 0-5 years.

Every year we encourage parents to send in photos of their little treasures in the hope of seeing them crowned the winner.

More than 200,000 public votes were made last year as parents, friends and families did their very best to get their nominee to the top spot.

Little Tudor Asandei was named Bristol Post Baby of the Year in 2018 after receiving a staggering 42,000 votes.

Two-and-a half year-old Tudor, of  Bradley Stoke , was entered in the 19-35 months category

When he was crowned the winner last November, mum Nicoleta and dad Ionut said they were “over the moon” that Tudor had won.

Nicoleta added: “He is a typical two year-old boy and likes cars and trains. To win the top prize is just amazing and will make such a difference to our Christmas this year.

“And of course Tudor will be getting some extra presents as a result of his win.

“We are very proud of him and it is the first time we have entered him in anything like this.”

This year there's a share of £500 cash to be won.

Once all of the entries have been published and the vote closes after a few weeks, we will publish a Top 60 and then re-open the vote to find a winner.

The overall winner with the most votes (including all votes carried over from the first stage) will win £300! Then a runner up will get £150 and a third place winner will get £50.

How to enter

Registration is free and easy. Simply fill out the online form above and upload a photo of your child, add their name and date of birth and carefully read the terms and conditions. You will receive an email confirmation once your entry has gone through.

What are the prizes?

1st place - £300

2nd place - £150

3rd place - £50

How is the winner decided?

The top 60 who have the most votes counted from official newspaper tokens will be published.

The vote will then re-open. Then the overall winner with the most votes (including all votes carried over from the first stage) will win £300! Then a runner up will get £150 and a third-place winner will receive £50.
