Brainiacs from Stirling could pit their wits on TV as auditions have been thrown open for the next series of Mastermind.
Casting executives are looking for contestants from the Stirling area for the BBC Two quiz show – now in its 50th year.
Issuing a casting call, casting firm Hat Trick / Hindsight Productions said: “Do you have what it takes to sit in the famous black chair? Know enough about your specialist subject to be forensically tested? How’s your general knowledge? Are you a pub quiz whizz? Many start - but only one will finish... Will it be you?”
Entry is open to UK residents who are aged 18 or over.
They added: “You do need some general knowledge, but we’re really interested in your three specialist subjects – the wider the range the better.
“As well as regular quizzers, we also want to encourage people who might not usually apply for a quiz shows to get involved.
“We’re looking to cast a diverse range of people. Hat Trick/Hindsight are committed to making programmes as inclusive as possible. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from under-represented groups.”

After submitting your application, you may then be invited to a Zoom audition where you’ll be put through a short general knowledge quiz.
Auditions are currently underway, with the heats filming in Belfast this summer.
