Search for witness after shop staff threatened with knife

Police are trying to track down a man who may be a key witness to a knifepoint robbery.

The incident took place at Best One store in Weston-super-Mare, just before 6pm on Monday, November 22.

A man entered the store and threatened staff with a knife before taking money from the till.

The man is described as black, aged 30 – 35 years old, around 5ft 5in tall, of medium build, wearing a black jacket with the hood up, black jeans and a black face mask.

He was seen leaving the store in the direction of Wooler Road.

Avon and Somerset Police have now released CCTV footage of a man they believe may be a key witness to the robbery and may be able to assist with the investigation.

Anyone who can help identify the witness, or has any other information about the incident, should call police on 101 and quote reference 5221275167.
