A family are desperately hoping to find a dad who left home without any warning and has not been seen for 48 hours.
Craig Reed has not been in touch with his family since Monday afternoon and they are now searching for him around his home in Teams, Gateshead.
The 39-year-old dad-of-one was last seen by a neighbour at around 5pm on Monday and now there are fears he could be in a confused state.
His sister Lynsey Allison said Craig was on medication for his mental health but he left some of it at home.
The 37-year-old from Washington said: "He didn't take all of his medication with him, so he could be confused.
"I know it's been so cold the last two nights. I dread to think he has slept out somewhere."
He spoke to his mum and 15-year-old son before he disappeared, but did not tell anyone he was going out.
He was later discovered missing by his older brother, who he lives with.
Craig has struggled with his mental health in the past, but appeared to be coping well on his medication.
Lynsey said: "He did have an episode about six weeks ago, he was on the Redheugh Bridge and was sectioned for a period of time.
"But he's been discharged for a month now.
"He's been ok but obviously this has kind of come out of the blue. It's very unlike him to stay out, to stay away from home."
The beauty therapist has been walking around Teams in a bid to find her older brother, along with other members of his family.
She has also shared a recent picture of him on Facebook in the hope that somebody will recognise him.
"We're concerned with what's been going on in his head.
"We just want people to see his face and want people to come forward and tell us if they have seen him," Lynsey added.
Craig is known to walk everywhere and frequently goes to buskers nights.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “We can confirm we are searching for missing Gateshead man Craig Reed, 39, who was reported missing yesterday.
"He has not been seen since Monday and is believed to be vulnerable.
"Inquiries are ongoing to locate him. Craig, or anyone with information about his whereabouts, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 1901 17/12/19."
