Search for stranded driver suspended

ACT police have suspended a search operation for a man believed to be stranded near Uriarra Village since Monday following a car crash.

The man, believed to be in his mid-to-late 20s, was involved in a single-car crash on a dirt road between Brindabella Road and Bullock Paddock Road on Monday.

Police launched a search for the man after he was not found near the crash site in the hours after the incident.

It was believed the man had been injured in the crash and some of his possessions were found near the crash site.

However, an ACT police spokesman said police no longer held concerns for the man's welfare due to his contact with passing motorists.

An investigation into the incident will continue.
