Search for red Audi driver who drove into two teenage girls

Police are hunting for a red Audi driver after they drove into two teenage girls on Saturday night, leaving one with life-changing injuries.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police were called to Great Moor Street, in Bolton, at 9pm last night to reports of a road traffic collision.

A red Audi A4 collided with two females who were crossing the road at the time and subsequently failed to stop at the scene, police said.

A 14-year-old and a 17-year-old were treated at the scene by paramedics.

The 14-year-old was girl was taken to hospital with life-changing pelvic and abdominal injuries. She remains in a serious condition in hospital.

The 17-year-old suffered minor injuries.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

PC Thomas Berry, of GMP’s Roads Policing Unit, said “This is a serious road traffic collision where the offending vehicle has failed to stop, leaving a 14-year-old girl in a serious condition in hospital.

“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the Bolton town centre at the time of the collision and saw an older model dark red Audi A4 in the area.

“Anyone with information or dash cam footage should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3118-09/10/2021.

“Reports can be made anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
