Search for person in River Trent continues for second day in Nottingham

The water rescue operation in the River Trent is ongoing after emergency services were called to reports of a person in the water. The emergency services were initially called to Lady Bay Bridge, near where a person had been reported in the water, just after 10am on Tuesday, (October 4).

The operation led crews to search further down the river, near Colwick Hall Hotel in Racecourse Road. Six crews from the Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were in attendance, as well as Nottinghamshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service. Two rescue boats were spotted on the river yesterday.

The fire and rescue service left the scene around 12.30pm on October 4, handing the incident over to Nottinghamshire Police. Now, rescue crews will be back in the River Trent as they continue their search.
