The National Lottery is searching for a mystery EuroMillions winner after a lucky ticket bought in Essex was left unclaimed.
The person who purchased the winning ticket has not claimed their EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker prize yet.
The winning player will cash in £1million once they come forward with their winning ticket.
The ticket was bought in Brentwood for the draw on Friday, January 1, 2021, Essex Live reports.
Players are now being urged to check their unique EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker code as the lucky ticket-holder only has until June 30, 2021 to claim their prize.
As well as this £1million ticket, there are people scattered all over the UK who haven’t claimed their winnings, with prizes still unclaimed in London, Belfast, and Coventry, according to the National Lottery’s website.
The unclaimed prizes include six £1million EuroMillions and two £1million Lotto winning tickets.
Another person who won £72,215.20 in a EuroMillions draw is also yet to come forward with their winning ticket.
Four players are also yet to claim their Set For Life cash, which will see them receive £10,000 every month for a year.
The prizes have either not been claimed or have not yet been validated and paid.
If a valid claim is not received within 180 days (around six months) of the draw date, the prize and any interest earned on it will go to benefit National Lottery Projects across the UK.
