Search for missing young man with Down syndrome who got separated from his walking group in Newtown, Wicklow

A search is taking place for a 19-year-old-man with Down syndrome who went missing in Newtownmountkennedy earlier today.

Ross got separated from his walking group at roughly 11.50am this morning, by some small woods adjacent to Season Park.

He was last seen wearing glasses and a navy jacket.

Searches are being coordinated from the local Coilte science lab.

Anyone who has seen Ross or who knows where he might be should contact Newtownmountkennedy garda station at 01-281922 or Fiona at 086-0577882
