Search for missing Waterford man stood down after body discovered

A search for a missing Waterford man has been stood down after the discovery of a body.

Philip Quigley, 40, went missing from his home in Ferrybank on July 7.

He was described as approximately 5 ft. 10 inches in height, with short dark hair and blue/green eyes.

The body was found in Mullinavat, Co Kilkenny, on Monday.

A garda spokesperson said: “A Garda missing person appeal in respect of Philip Quigley (40), who was missing from Ferrybank, County Waterford since the 7th of July, 2022, has now been stood down.”
