Search for missing Scots man who failed to return home from England

A search operation is underway to trace a missing Scots man who may have failed to get a train home from England.

Ian Alexander was dropped off at a train station in Tamworth, Staffordshire, at 8.45pm on Friday October 28. The 27-year-old had been due to travel home by rail via Manchester and Glasgow.

However, he has not retuned and has not been seen or heard from since. His frantic loved ones have reported him missing from an address in Grantown-on-Spey in the Highlands.

Ian is described as a white male, approximately 5ft 9in in height, of slim build and with short fair hair. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a hi-vis jacket and trousers with black work boots and carrying an oversized yellow holdall with a black strap.

Anyone that may have any information in relation to Ian’s recent movements or current whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland by calling 101 and quoting reference number 2032 of 29/10/22.
