Search for missing NHS worker who may be driving silver car

An urgent search has been launched for a missing Lanarkshire man who vanished overnight.

Edward Flynn was last seen in the Auchinraith Road area of Blantyre at roughly 9.20pm yesterday.

The 64-year-old is described as 5ft 5in tall, of medium build, with grey, thinning hair. He was last seen dressed in a navy polo shirt and navy cargo trousers, both with a NHS logo.

Edward may be in his car, a silver Ford Mondeo with registration number SB10 YPZ.

Inspector James Mutter said: “Concerns are growing for Edward’s welfare and we want to make sure he is safe and well.

“Anyone who has seen him or knows where he might be is asked to get in touch. Please also contact us if you have seen his car.”

If you can assist, call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 4522 of Tuesday, 6 June, 2023.
