Search for missing Jackson Mason continues as Kilmarnock police appeal for public help

Police in Kilmarnock are again appealing for the public’s assistance to trace 31-year-old Jackson Mason, who has been missing from Fenwick for over a week.

Jackson was last seen near the slip road on the M77 southbound carriageway, close to the Fenwick Hotel, between 4pm and 4.30pm on Saturday, December 19.

He is described as black, 6ft tall, of medium build, with dark brown hair and a heavy facial hair growth.

At the time he went missing he was believed to have been wearing grey shorts and a shiny black bubble jacket and white training shoes.

Chief Inspector Nathan Calderwood, from Kilmarnock police station, said: “It has been nine days since Jackson was last seen and there are significant concerns for his wellbeing.

“We have been carrying out extensive searches in and around the Fenwick area, with the support of specialist resources, such as a dog unit and the Force helicopter.

"Officers also continue to speak with Jackson’s family and friends, but there has been no further trace of him.

“We are again appealing to anyone who knows of his whereabouts or has heard from him since last weekend to please get in touch.

“Any information could prove vital and can be given to police via 101, quoting incident 0662 of December 20.”
