Search for missing Clare man, 24, stood down after body found

The search for a missing Clare man has been stood down this morning after a body was found.

Clem O'Connell, 24, had been missing since August 3 with a search operation centred around the Cloughleigh area.

Gardai confirmed this morning that a body had been found in the search.

The public have been thanked for their cooperation and help in the search with no further assistance needed.

A post-mortem and investigation will be carried out, although it is believed to be a tragic incident with no foul play suspected.
