Search for missing boy at Qld falls

A search is underway on the Gold Coast for a missing boy at Cedar Creek Falls. (AAP)

A search is underway for a boy who went missing while swimming at Cedar Creek Falls on the Gold Coast.

Police said two boys were swimming at the falls around 4.45pm on Thursday when they both got into trouble in the water, but only one made it to shore.

Specialist police, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and the Queensland Ambulance Service launched a ground and water search which will continue into the night.
