Search for man over 'racist and homophobic' remarks made on train from Leeds

Police would like to speak to the man in the picture above.

He may have information which could help their investigation into allegations that a man made racist and homophobic comments on a train between Leeds and Bradford.

British Transport Police say a man boarded the train with a friend at Leeds Train Station on January 25 between 8.20pm and 9.50pm.

He sat across from two women and allegedly began making racist and homophobic comments.

The man and his friend left the train at Bradford Interchange.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers would like to speak to the man in the image who may have information that could help their investigation.

"Anyone who knows him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40.

"In both cases, quote reference number 718 of 25/01/20.

"Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
