Search for girl missing in Blue Mountains

Police and firefighters are searching for a missing nine-year-old girl in the Blue Mountains. (AAP)

A search is under way for a girl missing in the Blue Mountains.

About 8.20am on Friday NSW Police were told nine-year-old Charlise Mutten was missing from a property at Mount Wilson.

She was last seen by her parents on Thursday.

A search is under way, based from the Mount Wilson Rural Fire Service station.

The Rural Fire Service and State Emergency Service are helping police, with the dog unit and PolAir also involved.

Charlise is described as Caucasian and thin with brown hair.
