Missing 16-year-old Izrael O'Connor Ward found safe and well

A missing teenager who was believed to be in the North East has been found safe and well.

Izrael O’Connor Ward, 16, left his home in the Wednesbury area of Birmingham on May 7 and was reported missing.

The teenager was believed to have travelled to Sunderland the next day and Northumbria Police issued an appeal to the public.

Officers confirmed on Sunday that the search for the missing teen was ongoing and said concerns for his welfare were growing.

However on Tuesday, Northumbria Police confirmed he had been located.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Missing teenager Izrael O’Connor Ward, 16, has been found safe and well."
