The search will continue for a man who fell from a boat at a popular holiday spot on the Murray River after an all-day hunt failed to find him.
Police and rescue services scoured the area near a boat ramp at Moama on Wednesday, after reports a man believed to be aged in his 20s fell into the water about 7.30pm on Tuesday.
Marine Rescue NSW volunteers kicked off a search at 7am on Wednesday, but did not locate him and stood down their search at 6.15pm.
Emergency services had searched waters along the NSW-Victoria border for hours on Tuesday night after the initial report, but found no trace of the missing man.
Marine Rescue NSW shone a spotlight on the banks of the river as they scoured the area by boat, but the operation was paused after it became dark.
Two of the service's rescue boats and about a dozen volunteers will continue the search on Thursday morning, Marine Rescue NSW Inspector Stuart Massey said.
"(Our boat) provided a solid platform for Victoria Police divers with all their equipment to search the waterway and will do so again tomorrow," he said.
"Boaters are being reminded that a section of the river will be closed while divers are in the water."
An estimated 1.5 million people visit the border towns of Echuca and Moama each year, with the two towns on either side of the Murray River functioning as one community.
The area is popular with campers and visitors seeking out water sports.
