Helicopter crews will spend the weekend continuing to search off Tasmania for a man who remains missing after a boating mishap claimed two of his mates' lives.
Thomas Courto set off from the northwest town of Wynyard on Monday with Isaiah Dixon and Bree-Anna Thomas in a 17-foot motorboat.
The bodies of Mr Dixon and Ms Thomas were found washed ashore at nearby Table Cape on Wednesday afternoon.
Mr Courto and the vessel, which belonged to Mr Dixon's dad, remain unaccounted for.
Bad weather has hampered search efforts in recent days, with police telling volunteer boaties not to hit the water because of the rough seas.
Tasmania Police is planning to utilise sonar technology on Monday to comb an area of about 320 hectares where they believe the white and yellow boat is located.
No items have been recovered from the vessel.
Isaiah's uncle, John-Paul Dixon, paid tribute to his nephew earlier this week and thanked the community for their help.
He said Isaiah, who grew up with Mr Courto, would be remembered as having a beautiful heart.
The group sat on a beach and went for a swim under a waterfall on their last day together, he said.
More than $10,000 has been raised online for the families.
Flowers and messages of support have been left in a park in Wynyard, which is home to about 5000 people.
