Search continues for missing Lexi Carmichael who vanished more than three weeks ago

A major search for a Glasgow woman is continuing after she went missing more than three weeks ago.

Officers from Police Scotland are still carrying out searches for Lexi Carmichael who vanished after leaving the Counting House boozer near George Square just after 11pm on December 11.

The 21-year-old was last seen on St. Vincent Place in the city at 11.05pm but hasn't been spotted since.

Concerns are growing for Lexi's welfare after it was unusual of her to be out of contact with her family or friends.

Lexi is described as 5ft11 tall, with a slim build and dark brown hair.

She was wearing a black and white top with a flower on the front, black trousers and black and white trainers when she disappeared.

A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed Lexi was still missing and that inquiries are still ongoing.

At the time of her disappearance, Inspector Colin MacLucas of Baird Street Police Office said: "We are concerned about Lexi's welfare as it is unusual for her to be out of contact with her family or friends for this length of time.

"Anyone who believes they may have seen her in the city centre last night or at any time since is urged to contact police as soon as possible.

"You can pass on information by calling 101, quoting reference 3987 of 11 December."
