Police are investigating after a woman reported that a man approached her daughter while she was playing in the garden.
The incident happened on June 1 shortly after 2.30pm in The Mercies area of Porthcawl .
After she was approached the young girl called out to a family member and the man ran away. The child was unharmed.
A search of the area was carried out, but no individual matching the description given was found.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "We received a report of a suspicious incident on June 1.
"The man is described as having grey hair and was wearing a black T-shirt with white on it, light blue jeans and half-moon dark glasses."
