Seanna Foster signs new deal with Cliftonville

Cliftonville have announced that Seanna Foster has penned a new contract at the club.

The 24-year-old defender missed the majority of last season with a long-term injury but made a return to the side in the closing stages of the campaign.

Playing for Youth teams such as Glendowan FC,St. Oliver Plunkett FC, Foster made the move to Sheffield Wednesday where he would remain on the books until he signed for Linfield.

From Linfield he made the switch to Carrick Rangers where he would make 12 appearances before joining Warrenpoint.

Over two seasons, Foster became a regular starter for The Point and was a key member of their squad.

In 2019 his performances earned him a move to Solitude where he has since made 35 appearances for the Reds.

Fans are happy with the announcement with @neilcree1 tweeting, "Absolutely brilliant" and @Mrcliftonville saying, "Very pleased with this, hopefully see more of him this coming season."

The news comes after goalkeeper Declan Dunne signed a new deal with the club.

The 21-year-old shot stopper has made eight first team appearances since his debut against Linfield in April 2018.
