Singer Sean Paul has revealed he got his mum and 90-year-old grandmother stoned on space cakes.
The weed-loving Jamaican hitmaker now has to label his “special brownies” after his family gobbled them all up by mistake at his birthday party.
Sean says: “They ate them before I could tell them not to and then spent all afternoon on the couch stoned.
“My 90-year-old grandmother was hallucinating looking out of the window thinking all the birds and the trees were changing colour, while my mum was like the cookie monster.”
Sean, 48, has just announced his nine-date Scorcha UK arena tour for April. And, if it’s anything like his last one, it’s going to be eventful.
Chatting to me from his home in the Caribbean via Zoom, the dad-of-two says: “I had a rock star moment the last time I was touring the UK.
“I woke up and the hotel room was trashed. I think I was trying to jump on the bed and ended up pulling all the curtains off.
“They had to shut the suite for a few days while they fixed it so I got a big bill for that.
“I like to pretend I won’t party as much this time on tour but I know I will end up diving in deep when I’m on the road.”
