Sean McComb vs Gavin Gwynne: Belfast boxer shares post-Covid 'vision' as he prepares for ring return

Sean McComb returns to the ring this Friday night as he looks to claim his first title as a professional.

'The Public Nuisance' takes on Gavin Gwynne for the vacant Commonwealth lightweight belt.

The bout will be held behind closed doors in Bolton, but fans will be able to watch the fight live on iFLTV.

McComb carries a big support with him, and he is looking forward to the day when his loyal following can return to shows and watch him in the flesh.

Speaking on his Facebook, McComb said fighting for a big title at a packed Falls Park is one of the "many visions" he has.

The 28-year-old has fought at the Feile once before, beating Renald Garrido back in August 2019.

McComb was able to walk to the venue from his home, with fans following him to Falls Park.

And he is dreaming of a return when boxing shows can safely welcome back fans following Covid-19.

"One of the many visions I have. When Covid goes and we come out the back end of it completely different people with completely different outlooks on life.....I will walk to the Falls Park for a big title fight ahead of a packed Feile night," he said on Facebook.

"Giving the youth in our area a chance to create a vision of their own, be an inspiration to them and give them that belief that we are all our own individual Champions!"

McComb signed off his message with his trademark catchphrase, "BANG BANG GRAVY CHIP".

The former Holy Trinity amateur will look to claim his first title on Friday night against Welshman Gwynne.

He gets the chance in his 12th outing as a professional, following 11 straight wins including five stoppages.

McComb's last outing was back in August when he beat Siar Ozgulvia unanimous decision.
