The Vikings hosted quarterback Sean Mannion on Monday in the Twin Cities.
The visit came and went without a deal getting done.
That doesn’t mean, however, a deal won’t get done. It just means the Vikings weren’t able to convince Mannion to sign on his visit. Or maybe they decided he wasn’t a fit.
Mannion, if signed to the Vikings, would compete with Kyle Sloter to be the backup quarterback to starter Kirk Cousins.
The Vikings did make one move on Monday, though, signing center Brett Jones to a one-year deal.
