Scarlets fly-half Sam Costelow and Dragons second-rower Ben Carter are the two players to watch in Welsh rugby over the next 12 months.
That's according to Ospreys coach Sean Holley and former Wales number eight Ryan Jones, who gave their verdicts on the exciting talents to watch in 2021 on Scrum V over the weekend.
Former Leicester Tigers starlet Costelow dazzled fans with a superb try for Scarlets in the 20-3 win over the Dragons at Parc y Scarlets at the weekend - the highlight of what was otherwise a game desperately low on quality.
It was a performance that clearly caught the eye of Holley, who believes the 19-year old is just one of several young stars ready to shine over the coming months.
"There's a couple actually," he said when asked about the players he expects to shine in 2021.. "Keiran Williams I like, but the one I'd like to look out for is Sam Costelow.
"Scored at the end of the Scarlets game the other day and I've watched him since he was with the under-18s. If anybody watched him play for the under-20s last year there were some individual performances.
"He's just a bit of a spark and he's very confident. He's got great feet, a low centre of gravity, great acceleration and I just like the way he looks and feels.
"He's had a good experience over the bridge at Leicester's academy, and he's the one to watch for me."
Meanwhile, with Jake Ball set to quit Welsh rugby at the end of the season, and with legendary skipper Alun Wyn Jones facing a spell on the sidelines with injury, Ryan Jones believes there is plenty of room for Dragons lock Ben Carter to shine this year.
"I've kept mine rather topical," he added.
"With the question marks over Jake Ball and Alun Wyn Jones, I've gone for Ben Carter at the Dragons.
"Warren [Gatland] talked a lot about being the best at everything that requires no talent. He's a young man, who's quietly going about his business at the Dragons.
"He's smart, he's diligent on the field and off it, and he's a big, big man, who's plied his trade in some big fixtures.
"Technically he's very good and he's a man with a big future.
"I was fortunate to spend some time off the field with him in South Africa, and he understands the game and he understands what's required to be a top-top talent."
