Sean Dyche sarcastically hits out at Arsenal's "lovely falling over" in Burnley draw

Burnley boss Sean Dyche again hit out at Arsenal's players for diving and sarcastically claimed that it was "lovely to watch" Gunners stars going to ground at Turf Moor.

Dyche's Clarets played out a goalless draw with Mikel Arteta's visitors on Sunday, with the result seeing both sides move up a place in the table as they remain locked together on 31 points.

Home fans booed Arsenal defender David Luiz throughout the game following his "anti-football" comments about the Clarets when playing for Chelsea last season, and there were a number of challenges made during an at times fraught contest.

"We had a good grasp of the game. Had enough chances to score and the balance of the side was very good," Dyche - who has been critical of players 'diving' in the past - told Sky Sports after the game.

"Another solid show of us continuing to improve. We wanted to be brave and set the press.

"No grand statements. We played some reasonable stuff and created chances.

"It is lovely to watch when people are falling over, it is my favourite part. The game is in a fantastic state. No-one wants to address it apart from me, so I am absolutely happy with the state of the game."

Dyche elaborated on his side's performance when speaking to BBC Sport.

"You don't want to get too greedy, it's a good run of performances and results. I thought we did enough to edge it, we had a couple of golden chances and kept them to meagre ones.

"We're not a side that's going to create so many it's ridiculous, it's about the quality of chances. We asked enough to score a goal.

"Jay [Rodriguez] scored a cracker at Manchester United, he's beginning to get stronger. He had to wait for his chance but the front two were very good.

"We were on a tough run and the last three games have shown we can be at least competitive."
