Sean Dyche is set to be without four Burnley players for visit of Totttenham and Jose Mourinho

Sean Dyche has delivered the latest Burnley team news ahead of Monday night's Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.

It's been a slow start to the new season for the Clarets as they remain without a win after four games, but did pick up a point away at West Brom last time out.

The goalless draw at the Hawthorns was secured without four key first-team players in Phil Bardsley, Ben Mee, Matt Lowton, and Jack Cork.

And they are set to be without three of the four for the visit of Spurs to Turf Moor

"Phil Bardsley is just going through the necessary protocols," Dyche revealed during his pre-match press conference, as per LancsLive. "He is okay in himself, he hasn't had a big hit (of Covid)

"Ben Mee is getting better but he is still going to need an extended period.

"Matt Lowton is back training and Corky is the one that is going to be a long term situation."

Bailey Peacock-Farrell isn't expected to be available for selection after because of a hip injury and Erik Pieters is doubtful.

With that said, the good news for Dyche is that Ashley Barnes and Johann Berg Gudmundsson appear to be fine after being substituted against the Baggies.

Despite no wins in four, Dyche is in a positive mood ahead of facing Spurs.

"I was pleased with the general performance at West Brom and I have been pleased with the way the squad has been working," he added. "People getting closer to full fitness brings that little more tightness to the squad and they know they have to work hard to stay in the shirt.

"We came out very strong after the Man City game with a strong run of performances but I wasn't naive to think we could operate like that for a long period.

"But the group is getting more balanced again. I certainly think we are two or three short of what we needed, certainly two.

"We haven't managed to do that but we have kept the players here so there is a balance to that."
