Sean Connery's widow, 93, poses in bikini alongside socialite granddaughter

James Bond icon Sir Sean Connery 's widow has been snapped enjoying a moment in the sun with socialite granddaughter Saskia.

In the rare snap Lady Micheline Connery, 93, can be seen relaxing on a boat in a brown bikini as she cuddled up with 26-year-old Saskia Connery on the sunny boat.

Saskia shared the snaps to Instagram as she gushed about her incredible time in the Bahamas with her grandmother.

In the two snaps Saskia and Lady Micheline cuddled up in their swimwear as they soaked up the sun, with the doting grandmother giving Saskia a kiss in the second picture.

The two women shared a sweet moment together as they donned sunglasses, swimwear and bare feet standing in front of crystal clear turquoise water.

Lady Micheline has called the Bahamas home for over two decades as she moved to the beautiful islands with her film star husband Sir Sean in the 1990s.

The pair lived there until Sir Sean sadly died in September 2020 at the age of 90.

When her husband passed, Lady Micheline said: "He was my life for so long and I am grateful for the wonderful life we had together. But it is not the same for me now."

Micheline, a painter, described her long time husband as 'gorgeous' and said they had shared 'a wonderful life together.'

She said: "He was a model of a man. It is going to be very hard without him, I know that. But it could not last for ever and he went peacefully."

The two met at a gold tournament in 1970 when their eyes met across a dinner table, the actor addressed his future wife as 'ma cherie' but the language barrier between himself and the Moroccan-French artist made it difficult for further conversation to take place.

Micheline has previously spoke about the first time she saw Sir Sean, saying: "I saw this man from the back, and of course, he had a fine physique. But that first day I didn’t know who he was or anything about him. Then I dreamed I saw this man. I was in his arms. And I thought ‘At last, peace’. The next day I went back to the tournament and that was that!"

It's said that the pair had an immediate and intense connection, with their relationship spanning decades and surviving an affair with singer Lynsey de Paul.
