Sean Connery's epic Paul Gascoigne Rangers exchange resurfaces as fans salute 007

Classic footage of Sir Sean Connery meeting Paul Gascoigne at Ibrox has resurfaced on social media after a Rangers fan account posted the video in tribute to the legendary star.

Scottish icon Connery had passed away aged 90 and that has led to an outpouring of appreciation for the actors' life and career.

He was a regular guest in Govan during the David Murray era despite previous allegiances to Celtic when he was a boy.

The video shows Connery welcoming English midfield genius Gazza to the club and chatting about what he could expect from his move to Scotland.

A starstruck Gasgoigne is captured walking away quipping: "I shook his hand there. Imagine that hand has been on so many pairs of boobs!"

Appreciative fans shared the video far and wide with one user commenting: "Legends together."

Here is the full transcript as the two stars came together in front of the Ibrox dugout.

Connery: "Welcome to Ibrox."

Gascoigne: "Thanks yeah, my sister met you in France."

Connery: "That's right yeah.

Gascoigne: "You're bigger than I thought!

Connery: "Always! Always!

Gascoigne: "Do you come to a lot of the games? Any tips for us?"

Connery: "Well you'll get a lot of rub up here. That's part of the deal I think, taking care of that. You will have a lot of them giving you a lot of rabbit."

Gascoigne: "A lot of rabbit yeah?"

Connery: "Yeah, but you can handle that!"
