Sean Brady debuts at UFC on ESPN 6 in Boston against Court McGee

Sean Brady will make his UFC debut seven months after it was announced that he was joining the sport’s biggest promotion.

MMA Junkie today learned from a person with knowledge of the booking that the undefeated Brady will meet nine-year UFC veteran Court McGee at UFC on ESPN 6, which takes place Oct. 18 at TD Garden in Boston. That person requested anonymity because UFC officials have yet to formally announce the contest.

Brady (9-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), 26, is a former CFFC welterweight champion who last fought in February, scoring a fourth-round TKO over Taj Abdul-Hakim. His previous two wins came over a previously unbeaten Gilbert Urbina and “The Ultimate Fighter 16” winner Colton Smith.

Meanwhile, McGee (19-8 MMA, 8-7 UFC), 34, fought in the UFC for the first time four years prior to Brady making his professional debut. “The Crusher” last saw action in April, suffering a hard-fought split-decision loss to Dhiego Lima.

With the addition to the card, UFC on ESPN 6 now includes:

  • Dominick Reyes vs. Chris Weidman
  • Calvin Kattar vs. Zabit Magomedsharipov
  • Maycee Barber vs. Gillian Robertson
  • Darren Stewart vs. Deron Winn
  • Tanner Boser vs. Daniel Spitz
  • Diana Belbita vs. Molly McCann
  • Brendan Allen vs. Eric Spicely
  • Randy Costa vs. Boston Salmon
  • Sean Brady vs. Court McGee
