Newcastle United remain in talks with both Sean and Matty Longstaff over new deals.
The 21-year-old Sean is still under contract until 2022 after penning a new arrangement last year, but following a great run of performances the club will look to offer him an improved deal.
Matty’s situation is more pressing with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
He signed a professional deal in 2018 but can talk to clubs from abroad from January and could even leave for six-figure sum.
European clubs can sign Longstaff junior for a compensation fee if he does not get tied down before January.
The teenager scored the winner against Manchester United at St James’ Park to net the club’s first home win of the season.
