A man has died and two more are in hospital after pedestrians were hit by a car outside Belfast City Cemetery.
Emergency services scrambled following the incident on Whiterock Road in the west of the city around midday.
The deceased has been named as Seamus Conlon.
A spokesman from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said three people were taken to Belfast Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment.
A PSNI spokesperson later confirmed one man has died.
Chief Inspector Gary Reid said: "Three men were struck by a stolen Vauxhall Vectra outside the city cemetery just after midday.
"70-year-old Seamus Conlon has sadly passed away and two other men are still being treated in hospital. Their conditions are described as serious."
He added that a 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including causing death by dangerous driving and driving when unfit.
Sinn Fein councillor Michael Donnelly was at the scene and told Belfast Live that it was “sheer carnage”.
He said: “I got a phone call to say there was a serious crash on the Whiterock Road.
“I live in this community and got there within a matter of minutes.
“There was a lot of people about and you were met by sheer carnage and mayhem - a lot of fire appliances and PSNI.
“Eye witnesses have told me a funeral had just finished of a local man from the community and people were making their way home when this car collided with three pedestrians.”
