Everton captain Seamus Coleman has picked up an injury while on international duty, his country have confirmed.
The Blues full-back was with the Republic of Ireland squad for their latest round of World Cup qualifiers this month.
Coleman played the full 90 minutes for his country on Saturday night, as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Azerbaijan.
Ireland are due to take on Serbia on Tuesday evening, and Coleman was set to play a part, but now that will not be the case.
Through their Twitter account, the Republic of Ireland have confirmed that Coleman has suffered an unspecified injury.

This has meant that Coleman has been withdrawn from the Republic of Ireland squad, and is set to return to Everton for further assessment.
Everton return after the international break with a home game against Burnley, but do have a couple of extra days preparation with the fixture not taking place until Monday, September 13.
Coleman has been ever-present in Everton’s opening three Premier League fixtures this season.
The 32-year-old has helped Rafa Benitez pick up seven points and maintain an unbeaten start to his life in the Goodison Park dugout.
