Seamus Coleman in race to be fit for Ireland's games against England, Wales and Bulgaria

Seamus Coleman has a fight on his hands to be fit for Ireland’s triple header next month.

Everton boss Carlio Ancelotti revealed today that the defender will be sidelined for up to three weeks.

Coleman missed the recent internationals against Slovakia, Wales and Finland with a hamstring injury.

And he aggravated it in the Merseyside derby draw with Liverpool last Saturday, limping off in the first-half.

Ancelotti expects Coleman to miss 'two or three weeks' with 'not a big problem' - but Ireland face England at Wembley three weeks today.

That friendly is the first of three games for Stephen Kenny’s charges who also play  Wales and Bulgaria in the Nations League.

The England game was arranged after an unwanted trip to face Bosnia was shelved because of Covid-releated travel fears.

Kenny’s players - all based in the UK apart from Shamrock Rovers’ Jack Byrne - will train in England ahead of the Wembley game on November 12.

Then they will move to Cardiff to face Ryan Giggs’ Dragons on November 15 before a home clash with Bulgaria in Dublin three days later.
