Seahawks work out RB Chris Warren III and OT Brian Wallace

The Seattle Seahawks are hosting two free agents for workouts on Wednesday; running back Chris Warren III and offensive tackle Brian Wallace, according to ESPN’s Brady Henderson.

Warren’s father, Chris Warren, was a running back for the Seahawks for eight seasons from 1990-1997. He made three Pro Bowls and rushed for 6,706 yards and 44 touchdowns with the team.

Warren III went undrafted out of Texas last year and caught on with the Raiders, who released him this week after concerns about his weight gain.

Wallace played right tackle at Arkansas before also going undrafted. He caught on with the Redskins but was released.

The Seahawks almost always bring players in for workouts on off days, and it doesn’t always lead to a signing – but rather it gives them depth options to pursue should injuries impact anyone currently on their 90-man roster.

The Seahawks will return to the field on Friday for training camp, and then will have a live scrimmage at Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell, WA on Saturday afternoon.
