Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll provided a number of player injury updates on Wednesday as the team kicked off practice ahead of the first week of the regular season.
“Mike just went through the walkthrough with us so we’ll see how he goes one day at a time – I can’t tell yet,” Carroll said of guard Mike Iupati, who was listed as a nonparticipant on the report with a foot injury. “I always go back to how they respond to the day. He hasn’t been out with us. We’ll see what happens, I really don’t know yet. We take it one day at a time.”
First-round pick L.J. Collier is also a question mark for Sunday afternoon.
“We’ll wait and see how the week goes here,” Carroll said of the defensive end. “He’s going to get some practice work in today. We did some stuff on Monday. We’re just going one step at a time. I don’t know yet. He did look good and he looked like he was ready to roll back into the mix of this thing. It would be fantastic to have him back in the competition of it. I can’t tell you what’s going to happen over the weekend.”
