Seahawks visit with Washington lineman Kaleb McGary

The Seattle Seahawks sent nearly the entire staff to the University of Washington’s Pro Day earlier this month, a clear indication they had their eye on a handful of Huskies to potentially bring across the water into training camp this summer.

While cornerback Byron Murphy and safety Taylor Rapp have gotten most of the attention, they are not the only Huskies Seattle could take in the draft next week.

The Seahawks hosted offensive tackle Kaleb McGary on a visit Monday, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport.

McGary is an imposing figure who played right tackle his entire college career, but actually projects as a hulking, run-blocking guard at the NFL level – much like current Seahawks starter D.J. Fluker.

McGary probably wouldn’t start right away, but he’d give this Seahawks offensive line a big boost in depth while learning the ropes to be a potentially high-caliber starter in the trenches for years to come.
