Seahawks to trade 2020 7th-round pick to Patriots for TE Jacob Hollister

Just two days after the conclusion of the NFL draft, the Seahawks are at it again. Seattle has agreed to trade a 2020 draft pick to the New England Patriots for tight end Jacob Hollister.

ESPN’s Mike Reiss and Field Yates, first to report the news, confirmed the compensation would be in the form of a conditional seventh-round selection.

The Seahawks seem stacked at tight end for now, with Will Dissly, Ed Dickson and Nick Vannett on the roster. However, Dissly is recovering from the torn patellar injury he suffered in Week 4 against the Cardinals and likely won’t be able to participate in offseason team activities.

“He looks good, running well, from what I understand,” coach Pete Carroll said at the owners meetings in March. “He’s moving, getting going. It’s still going to take us all the way to camp time to get him going, and we won’t rush that at all. He’s in great shape so far. Everything is going well.”

The trade will not be finalized until Hollister passes his physical with Seattle.
