Seahawks to host free agent edge rusher Aaron Lynch

The Seahawks are never finished tightening up their pass rushing game, constantly scouring the market for available edge rushers who could fit the bill.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting free agent Aaron Lynch will now be visiting with Seattle.

Originally selected by the 49ers in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL draft, Lynch spent four seasons in San Francisco before he signed a one-year contract with the Bears last season. In 13 games played for Chicago, Lynch tallied 16 tackles, three sacks and an interception.

At just 26, Lynch could provide a relatively inexpensive option for Seattle if the price remains right. However, if signed, he would factor in as an unrestricted free agent gained, possibly canceling out one of the Seahawks’ projected compensatory picks in next year’s draft.

In his quest to find a new team, Lynch most recently took a trip to Oakland, who is also looking to shore up the position.
