Seahawks to hold mock game Saturday at Bothell’s Pop Keeney Stadium

The Seattle Seahawks are doing something a little different this training camp, holding one of their 12 open practices at Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell. The Saturday session, which will be held from 1:30-3:30 p.m., will feature a mock-game format.

“It’s a great little stadium, I don’t know if you guys have seen it but it’s a great little stadium,” coach Pete Carroll said Thursday. “It sold out, which is really good, SRO. It’s going to be as game-like as we can make it for our situations and all that. So I want to take it off this field to get to a different locale for the guys just so there’s a little bit of something.”

Despite the game-like atmosphere, Carroll hopes to have a little fun with his players over the weekend.

“We’ll be on the bus with their shoulder pads on, kind of like high school,” Carroll said. “They’ll probably rock to the bus before the game, before they get out, all those normal traditions we will carry out before game time. The honorary coaches are to be announced. Not yet, though. The head coaches are a big deal.”

If you were lucky enough to score tickets to Saturday’s mock game, you can find everything you need to know to attend the event here.
