Seahawks TE Colby Parkinson’s foot injury won’t require surgery

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told reporters yesterday that tight end Colby Parkinson has re-injured the foot he broke last year and will be out for a bit.

While that’s unfortunate news for Seattle’s offense, there is some good news. According to a report by Tom Pelissero at NFL Network, Parkinson’s injury won’t require surgery, so he could be back in weeks as opposed to months.

The Seahawks tight end room has been thin since Jimmy Graham’s exit, but this year things should be looking up. The addition of Gerald Everett in free agency and getting a healthy Will Dissly back should help while Parkinson is out.
