Seahawks suffer only minor injuries in major loss to Saints

The Seattle Seahawks lost a very winnable game Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints, who were without starting quarterback Drew Brees.

Sloppy play and inexcusable mistakes led to the Seahawks’ first home defeat in September since coach Pete Carroll came to town.

However, there were a few silver linings on Sunday as Seattle fell 33-27 to the Saints, including no new major injuries.

Left tackle Duane Brown, who left the game in the second half, is set to undergo further testing on his arm.

“He could have gone back in,” coach Pete Carroll said in his postgame press conference. “He did have a little upper arm strain that we’ve got to figure out what that is. That’s as far as we know right now. It’s very early.”

Safety Bradley McDougald also left the outing but was able to return quickly after a minor ankle injury.

Linebacker K.J. Wright had the wind knocked out of him near the end of the matchup but was only briefly shaken – finishing the game with 13 tackles.
