Seahawks start Phase 2 of offseason workouts, announce rookie camp dates

With the 2019 NFL draft in the rearview mirror, it’s time for teams around the league to focus on their offseason workouts. On Monday, the Seattle Seahawks began Phase 2 of the nine-week program, voluntary program.

Unlike the first phase, these next three weeks allow for individual player instruction and drills. Clubs can also practice on a “separates” basis, with the offense and defense working independently.

Similar to Phase 1, no contact is permitted.

The Seahawks have also announced the dates for the 2019 rookie minicamp, which will take place this weekend, May 3-5, at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton.

Draftees, undrafted free agents and tryout players will be in attendance.

Practice times are the following:

Friday, May 3
1:30 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
Saturday, May 4
1:30 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
Sunday, May 5

10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

NFL teams can also host a rookie football development program for a period of seven weeks, beginning on May 13. The rookie minicamp is the only activity that can be held on weekends during this time.
